Trent Valley Kart Club are honoured to be hosting the prestigious Cadet O Plate!

 

The two day meeting will be held over the weekend of Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th June 2010 at PF International kart circuit.

 

 

For those of you who are new to karting or may not of come across this type of event before, read on!

 

The O plate race meetings are organised by the ABkC (Association of British Kart Clubs) and are single event National Championships.  They are staged on different dates and race circuits depending on the class.

 

The winners of these championships are entitled to carry, the very sought after, 'O' plates on their karts and are allowed to do so until the event is held the following year.

 

The O Plate championships attract the best drivers in the UK all of which battle it out for this celebrated title!

 

Trent Valley Kart Club have been awarded the Cadet O Plate which ccaters for the Comer & WTP classes.  Both classes are 'Cadet' groups - meaning the drivers are between the ages of 8-13 years of age.

 

The current holders of the 2009 Cadet O Plates are:

George Russell - Comer

Philip Rawson - WTP

 

Proving the calibre of drivers who enter the O plate events, George has progressed onto Mini Max and is currently leading the Super One British Championship league table while Philip (now competing in Comer) is a creditable 7th place in the Formula Kart Stars Championship standings.

 

With both George and Philip changing classes in 2010 - we are guaranteed two new O Plate Kings or Queens to be crowned in June!

 

The Cadet O Plate will be run in conjunction with the 5th round of Trent Valley Kart Club's Club Championships.  Spectators are very welcome! 

 

 

 

To be eligible to enter the 2010 Cadet O Plate, drivers must...

 

*  Be a member of a MSA approved kart club affiliated to the ABkC

*  Have a minimum of a National A License

 

Entries are being accepted NOW and will close at 6pm on Saturday 29th May.
